Southern Illinois Pioneer Coalition

Driven by the desire to make nursing homes, assisted living, and supportive living facilities a better place in which to live, the Southern Illinois Pioneer Coalition (SIPC) was formed. The focus of "pioneering" is on allowing residents to choose how and when their care is provided. Pioneering creates a facility that is person-centered and more homelike.

Research has shown that facilities the emphasize person centered care experience a higher rate of resident and staff satisfaction. Facility occupancy rates are higher and staff turnover is lower.

Our Vision -- is to have every senior adult's individuality and personal choice be valued and respected by all caregivers.

Our Mission -- is to promote, support, and assist a change in the culture of care in every nursing home, assisted living facility, supportive living facility, and professional and family assisted care in the home.
