Veteran’s offices to arrange transit. Daily transportation to the Marion IL Veteran’s Administration Hospital. Must
be a veteran. Ambulance transportation from the Marion VA hospital to any other hospital including VA hospitals in St. Louis
and Evansville. Serves veterans from as far north as Salem, IL, as far south as Cairo, IL, and from river to river in
Illinois. Hours depend on rider and provider. There is no cost. |
Department of Human Services
All requests for transportation must be pre-approved by First Transit at 1.877.725.0569. The rider must be on the state
medical program and need transportation. A DHS approved provider of transportation must be used. The hours depend on the
provider of transportation. There is no cost for Medicaid eligible clients for medical appointments if pre-approved. |
