In-Home Respite Care

In-Home Respite Care is the provision of appropriate, temporary, substitute care or supervision of functionally impaired older people which enables the primary family caregiver to continue to provide care for the older person. Respite care workers can help with household chores, such as cleaning and laundry. Other tasks include planning and preparing meals and personal care, such as dressing, bathing, grooming and following special diets.

  2. Community Care Program service providers in Southern Illinois.
  3. In-Home Respite Care agencies in Southern Illinois.
  4. Private pay nurses, sitters, and cleaning services.
  5. Resource Guide on Aging to find agencies, by county, which provide other services.
