Home health care services are provided by health
care professionals in the patient’s home. The following home health care providers
are reprinted from the Yellow Pages of the telephone book.
Services
- Skilled nursing care - on a part-time or intermittent
basis by a licensed/registered nurse. Help with medical activities, i.e.,
changing bandages, IV therapy, etc.
- Home health aide - on a part-time or intermittent basis by a
certified aide. Help with personal care. Must receive one of the other medical
services listed here.
- Physical therapy - includes exercise to regain movement and strength.
- Speech therapy - includes exercises to regain and strengthen speech skills.
- Medical social services - help with social and emotional concerns related to the illness.
- Occupational therapy - helps patient regain ability to do usual daily activities by themselves.
