Routine Health Screening helps older
people identify and understand their physical condition and obtain necessary
medical treatment, when needed. The primary focus of this service is to identify
and evaluate the health needs of older people and to link them to health care
services.
Health screenings include monthly blood pressure checks, occasional blood sugar screening, testing for glaucoma, cholesterol, diabetes, hearing, vision, etc. There is no charge for monthly blood pressure checks, although there is a suggested donation. The cost of other screening activities depends on the test and what equipment and supplies are needed to perform them. If there is a cost it will be announced in advanced. ### |
