Participants learn to develop their own personalized action plans and goals for dealing with family issues. The topics include such caregiving issues as: tools to help reduce stress; how to communicate effectively with other family members, the loved one’s doctor and service providers; the importance of self-care; how to reduce guilt, anger and depression; relaxation techniques; and how to approach tough decisions. Use the link at the bottom of the page to contact us for information about the next workshop. There is no cost for attending the workshops, but attendance may be limited.
Caring for an ill or disabled family member is often rewarding, but it can also be very stressful. Our workshops are designed to aid those who care for older adults who have chronic health conditions. Information about other services provided in the community can be obtained by calling your local senior center or use the link below to contact us. ### |
